Budget-Friendly Weddings: Creating a Stunning Celebration Without Breaking the Bank
Planning a wedding can get expensive fast! Choosing budget friendly options for a few (or all!) of your wedding must-haves can make a huge difference. Here are a few ideas I love to recommend!
Wholesale Flowers
Florals are one area that can be very inexpensive or very expensive, depending on what you choose! Consider using a florist for your bouquets and boutonnieres, and DIYing your centerpieces and other arrangements. Sam’s Club, Costco, or Market Street are all great options for purchasing large quantities of flowers, just make sure you order them in plenty of time, and have a cool place to store the day before the wedding. Creating floral arrangements also gives you and your bridesmaids a fun activity to do the day before if you love a DIY project!
Weekday Pricing
Many venues offer significant discounts for Thursday or Friday weddings, definitely something to ask your venue about! This can make some amazing venues that would regularly take a huge portion of your budget, very affordable! Additionally, catering companies, DJs, and other vendors may offer weekday pricing. Deciding to have a weekday wedding can definitely depend on your guest list, and whether you are having many out of town visitors. However, many guests may love it!
All Inclusive Venues
Many venues include tablecloths, napkins, decor, and have the option to also go through them for catering, and bartending. Definitely compare the prices with other vendors, but this can be such a great option and can result in significant savings.
DIY Dessert Bar
Consider asking a family member or friend to take charge of a DIY dessert bar or charcuterie bar, instead of catering it. Simply have individual desserts ready to go (think brownie bites, cupcakes, individual cheesecakes, or cookies) and have someone with an eye for design arrange them and keep them stocked!
Off the Rack Dress
Instead of ordering a wedding dress, check the off the rack options at bridal stores near you! Depending on the store, and the time of year, you may even be able to find great sales or clearance sales. Just make sure you start looking early!
